Eight outstanding middle and high school students from the Arlington, Darrington and Lakewood School Districts were recognized Feb. 13 by the Rotary Club of Arlington for making a difference in their respective schools. The Rotarians wanted to recognize students who stand out in different ways in their schools. The Rotary Club also donated $100 to a charity of the student’s choice.
Eighth grader Lily Ulrich from the Stillaguamish Valley Learning Center’s Arlington Online Program (AOP) consistently pushes herself to excel, always with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to learn. “Lily approaches everything she does with a rare blend of focus and kindness and does not shy away from challenges,” said AOP Teacher Marah Dandliker. Lily’s $100 contribution is being made to The NOAH Center.
